2025 Azerbaijan GP weather: Latest forecast for Baku

As cars are only one day away from hitting the track in Baku, lets have a look how the weather could play its part in Azerbaijan. Whats sure to say is: The weekend will be mostly dry, but vary sources predict that rain could occur at some point.

THe Forecast

Friday, 19 September, FP1 & Fp2

On Friday, dry conditions are expected overall. It will be partly cloudy in the morning, with the sun coming out in the afternoon. Air temperatures will rise up to 26°C in FP2. Even though the two sessions will be held under dry conditions, there are thundertorms predicted in the Baku region for the evening. With a chance of 65%, rain will hit the track at night, washing away all the rubber laid down on track in FP1 and FP2.

Saturday, 20 September, Fp3 & Qualifying

Saturday sets to be windy and overcast with a low chance of rain (~20 percent). Strong winds up to 50 km/h are possible, with air temperatures reaching a maximum of 21°C, 5 degrees less than the day before.

Sunday, 21 September, Race

Similar to Saturday, conditions will remain stable but windy for raceday with gusts of up to 40 km/h. Even though several sources predict that rain could strike Baku at some point this Sunday, The Weather Channel predicts only a 25% chance of rain for the afternoon. Air tempertures will reach up to 22°C, a bit warmer than Saturday.
