2025 Dutch GP weather forecast - Rain to hit the track
The summer break is finally over and the drivers are about to return to racing action at Zandvoort this weekend. The Dutch Grand Prix is known for its unique layout and the passionate crowd of fans attending the grand prix year after year. As we preview this weekend, one of the main talking points is of course the weather. Zandvoort is known for changing conditions and delivered some amazing wet sessions over the years, including last years Friday and Saturday sessions and the main event in 2023, where Max Verstappen clinched victory in front of Fernando Alonso and Pierre Gasly. What’s sure to say is: This weekend will be no different. Let´s take a look at the detailed weather forecast for this year´s Dutch GP.

The Forecast
Friday (FP1 and FP2)
For the first practice session (12:30 CEST) the sky will already be cloudy with a chance of rain around 35%. Air temperature will be at 19°C for this session. For the afternoon session (16:00 CEST) light rain is expected to hit the track with a 80% probability. Air temperature will still remain around 19°C, with heavier rain to occur at the end of the session.
Saturday (FP3 and qualifying)
Changing conditions will prevail on qualifying day, as the third practice session (11:30 CEST) will be carried out under wet conditions with a probability of 70% and air temperatures around 20°C. The sky will brighten up a bit before the afternoon qualifying session (15:00 CEST), but there will still be a 50% chance of rain for this session, with air temperatures rising to 21°C.
Sunday (Race)
From the morning onwards, there will be some showers on Sunday, reaching into the afternoon. With a probability of 60%, we will see a wet race as well with temperatures rising to 20°C.
What’s sure to say is: the weather will affect this race weekend at some point, shaking up the order and posing an additional challenge for the drivers!
