2238m above sea level - no circuit in the F1 calendar has a higher altitude than the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. This race weekend is one of the most physically demanding ones of the year, meaning drivers and teams hope for more moderate weather conditions after two heat-hazard races in Singapore and Texas. Let’s have a look if their hopes are going to be fulfilled.

THe Forecast
Friday, 24 October, FP1 & FP2
The weekend kicks off under pleasant conditions: Temperatures around 25°C, a gentle breeze of 15km/h and a few light clouds in the sky. With only a 2% chance of occurring, rain won’t be a talking point for FP1 & FP2
Saturday, 25 October, FP3 & Qualifying
To the driver’s dismay, temperatures will rise on Saturday. Up to 27°C, feeling like 33°C, can be expected for FP3 and Qualifying. While the wind is about to pick up as well, reaching up to 20km/h, the chance of rain remains negligible for the second day of this race weekend.
Sunday, 26 October, Race
Conditions on race day will be similar to those on Saturday. Temperatures will repetitively be at around 27°C, with no rain on the radar. The only variable about to change is the wind, reaching speeds of around 25km/h.
All in all, rain won’t be a concern this weekend. However, wind and thin air could pose a challenge for the drivers in Mexico - something to look out for.
